What Fargo, ND, Seniors Should Do In The Second Half Of The Year To Finish Strong

Jan 23, 2026 | By: Amanda Johnson Photography

Senior year goes fast. One minute you’re walking into school for your first day as a senior, and the next, you’re counting down to graduation, wondering where the time even went. If you’re in the Class of 2026 in Fargo, North Dakota, and you’re officially in the second half of your senior year… first of all, congrats! Second, here are a few things to keep in mind as you soak up the rest of this season.

Because yes, the second half of your senior year matters. Maybe even more than the first.

1. Celebrate The Little Things

These next few months are full of lasts: your last school dance, your last home game, your last class photo. Pay attention to them. Soak them in. Take the photo. Wear the dress. Cheer a little louder. Even if you’re counting down the days to graduation, these moments are what you’ll remember later.

2. Book Your Senior Session (If You Haven’t Yet!)

This is a big one. If you haven’t booked your senior pictures yet, it’s not too late, but don’t wait much longer. Spring and early summer fill up fast, especially if you want a session that doesn’t feel rushed between finals and graduation.

Whether you’re looking for something relaxed and simple, like a simplicity session, or a full ranch adventure with your dog, sports gear, and your whole personality packed in, we’ll make it happen.

Especially for my Fargo seniors, you’re only a few hours from my ranch and studio, and I promise it’s worth the drive.

3. Start Finalizing College (Or Work) Plans

This season is exciting… and also kind of a whirlwind. If you’re heading to college, start lining up housing, financial aid, orientation, and making sure your senior year grades stay strong. Not going the college route? That’s awesome too. Start thinking about what’s next: trades, travel, internships, work, or whatever path feels right for you.

4. Spend Time With Your People

Seriously, make memories with your people. Whether it’s a weekend road trip to the lake, a bonfire with your best friends, or just a late-night gas station run for snacks, this season is worth soaking in. Time feels different when you know things are about to change.

5. Write It Down

It sounds cheesy, but hear me out: grab a journal or use your Notes app and start writing down the little stuff. Your favorite class, the inside jokes, the weird school lunches, the wins, and the fails. One day, you’ll be so glad you did.

Fargo Seniors, Let’s Make The Most Of This Season!

I photograph seniors from all over the state, and I love working with high schoolers from Fargo North High, Fargo South, Davies High, Shanley, and the surrounding areas. Whether you want a laid back session in your favorite jeans, a full ranch shoot out here with your dog and your boots, or something unique to you, let’s make it happen.

Senior year only happens once. Let’s make sure you’ve got more than just a cap-and-gown photo to remember it by.

Class of 2026, finish strong, soak it all in, and let’s get your session on the books.
