Some seniors thrive in an urban setting, but for Ethan, the ranch was clearly more his vibe.

Hunting is a huge part of who Ethan is, so we made sure to include it in his session. Senior photos aren’t just about looking good—they should tell your story, and I love when guys bring along their hunting gear, rifle, bow, or even their truck to make their session truly personal.

The golden light at sunset gave us the perfect lighting as we wandered through the fields, capturing that perfect mix of rugged and classic. I could tell that Ethan felt completely at ease—no stiff poses, just a guy enjoying the outdoors.

If you’re a senior guy in Bismarck, ND looking for senior photos that actually feel like YOU, here are a few tips to make your session the best it can be:

• Keep it simple – You don’t have to go overboard on outfits. Three to four outfits is a good number—think jeans, a flannel, your favorite hoodie, and a nicer button-up.

• Bring what you love – If you’re into hunting, fishing, trucks, or sports, bring something that represents that! Ethan brought his rifle, and those ended up being some of my favorite shots.

• Trust the process – I know most guys don’t want to be in front of the camera all day, and that’s okay! Senior guy sessions are laid-back, fast-paced, and not stuffy at all. You’ll leave with photos you actually like and your mom will love them too ;)
