North Dakota Senior Guy Pictures

Senior pictures should feel authentic, and that’s exactly what we aimed for with Nick’s session. He felt right at home surrounded by open fields, rustic fences, and golden-hour skies that made for the perfect backdrop. Of course, we had to capture some shots with his bow, which were hands-down some of my absolute favorite photos! There's just something about capturing seniors doing what they love that makes the images even more special.

If you're a senior guy (or a parent of one) wondering how to prepare for your Fargo ND senior pictures, here are a few tips to make your session smooth, fun, and totally YOU:

1. Keep Outfits Simple & Comfortable

For guys, I always recommend bringing 3-4 outfit options. This can be as simple as swapping out shirts with one or two different pants choices. Think jeans, boots, and a button-up for a classic country feel or a casual t-shirt with sneakers for a laid-back vibe.

2. Incorporate Your Passions

Just like Nick brought his bow, think about what represents YOU. Whether it's your truck, hunting gear, sports equipment, or even a beloved pet, adding personal elements makes your session more meaningful and unique.

3. Choose The Right Location

If you love the outdoors, a ranch, farm, or open field can create the perfect backdrop for your senior pictures. Prefer an urban vibe? Let's head down town!

4. Relax & Have Fun

Senior sessions aren’t meant to be stiff or awkward. I always make sure my sessions feel laid-back and natural, so no need to stress! I’ll guide you through easy poses while making sure you still look like YOU in your photos. If you're uncomfortable doing a pose or it's just not feeling right... no worries, we'll move onto a different pose that feels more natural to you!
