Nathan is a true country boy through and through. From his easygoing attitude, his session was the definition of effortless. No fancy outfits, no complicated locations—just timeless photos that reflect his personality. We kept things natural and relaxed, focusing on the wide-open beauty of North Dakota and Nathan’s authentic style.

We made sure to get a shot with one of my husbands old tractors because Nathan's Grandpa used to have one exactly like it! And a few years ago when I was shooting his sisters photos, we got a picture of her with this same tractor, now they can have matching images on their wall that will remind them of their Grandpa! How special is that!

Not sure what to wear or how to plan your session? Here are a few easy tips for senior guys to keep things stress-free and fun:

• Stick to what you love. Whether that’s Carhartt, flannel, or your everyday jeans—wear what feels like you.

• Bring a couple of outfit options. Even if you want to keep it simple, having 3-4 shirts and maybe one extra pair of jeans can add variety without the hassle.

• Think about your hobbies. Love hunting, fishing, or farming? Bring a prop that reflects that! Whether it’s your bow, rifle, truck, or even your dog, these small details make your session more personal.

• Relax and have fun. You don’t have to be a pro at posing—that’s my job! I’ll guide you every step of the way.
